The public is invited to join members and community garden friends to plant vines along the fence that borders the garden site and the school track.

Attendees are invited to bring an edible or ornamental vine to donate to the new garden. Rich compost from Busch Gardens and garden tools from Ames True Value will be available for those planting a vine.

TTCG is accepting many different types of vines, as long as they are not poisonous. Examples: Purple Granadilla, Honeysuckle, Wisteria, Confederate jasmine, Blue Glory, Pink Jasmine and edible vines like Pigeon Pea, Sugar Snap Pea, Boniato, Butterfly pea (the flowers), Chayote, Muscadine grape, Hairy Cowpea, Creeping Cucumber and perennial peas like Winged beans, or Scarlett runner beans.
