Miracles & Maggie's Tea Room has been a member of the Temple Terrace Chamber
since 2007 when Dottie Iwerks persuaded me to be a part of the Taste of Temple Terrace;
I had serious reservations as to how worth while this chamber would be for our business
as we are located in New Tampa. The Taste of Temple Terrace event was a great success
and made me realize that we truly lie in the same geographic region, and one that
obviously enjoyed tea!!!
Since then I have grown to realize what a great chamber Temple Terrace is ...
especially having experienced 3 other ones that didn't come close to serving their
members in such a beneficial way. It is not just the wonderful monthly luncheons,
informative and relevant speakers, Ambassador's program, ribbon cuttings and other
interesting events that make the difference, the true value of the Temple Terrace
Chamber comes from their philosophy of serving their community, and rewarding and
encouraging members that serve the community as well.
In 2008 I joined our Thursday morning networking group that meet at Savvy Jacks
... WOW! What a fun, interesting, diverse and loving group of folk! It is perhaps
this wonderful networking group that has done the most to help promote my tea room
... without this group of dedicated Chamber members, our business would have been
merely a memory ... just another victim of the economy! If I were to choose just
one group to serve and to network with out of the many I have tried ... it would
be my friends at the Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce. God Bless them!

Temple Terrace is my community, and when we all give a little back to our community
we make this a better place to live and grow. Serving as a member of the Chamber
Board of Directors and Treasurer has helped me build strong business and personal
relationships that pay dividends every day. I value its membership in the Greater
Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce because the Chamber is such a strong advocate
for business and it does so much to build community.

When I joined the Chamber 7 years ago, I had just started my promotional products
business and had no customers. Working from my home office was a new experience
for me and, being an extravert, I needed to be with people so I decided to get involved
with the Chamber. I became an Ambassador, joined the Thursday morning referral group,
joined the Expo committee and showed up at every event I could attend. I was elected
to the Board of Directors and am a past president. It's been great. I have met some
incredible people and love hearing their stories and how their Chamber membership
has helped their businesses, like it's helped mine. Thanks Temple Terrace Chamber.
