Chamber New & Views
As the saying goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Take a vacation … in your own backyard.
Did you know that Temple Terrace is the home of ten parks?
- BEN LOMOND PARK, located at 905 Ben Lomond Drive, offers a variety of playground equipment, water fountains, picnic tables
and a butterfly garden.
- BILLY GRAHAM GARDEN / PRESERVATION PARK, located at 613 N Riverhills Drive, is tucked along the banks of the river and offers
a wonderful view of the Hillsborough River.
- BILTMORE PARK, located at 426 Biltmore Avenue and noted as the City’s first public park, is equipped with a basketball court,
playground equipment, benches and picnic areas.
- BONNIE BRAE PARK, located at 1034 Bonnie Brae Boulevard, is a neighborhood park equipped with a dinosaur themed playground,
sand volleyball, fitness equipment and picnic shelters.
- LINWOOD PARK, located at 11304 N 62nd Street, consists of a fitness par course with a running area circling the 18 exercise
stations. (Currently being renovated by Temple Terrace Rotary and the City of Temple Terrace.)
- RIVERHILLS PARK, located at 329 S Riverhills Drive, offers access to the Hillsborough River, a picnic area nestled under
the cypress and oak trees, a large playground area, two tennis courts and a boardwalk system that winds along the riverfront.
- ROTARY PARK, located at 8000 E. Fowler Avenue, is equipped with a boat ramp and dock, picnic tables and barbeque grills.
- SCOUT PARK, located at 911 Bellemeade Avenue, is a nature preserve that offers two miles of mulched trails available for
public enjoyment.
- SERENA PARK, located at 5204 Serena Drive, consists of a walking path that winds its way through more than 30 species of
trees native to the Tampa Bay and Central Florida areas.
- WOODMONT PARK, located at 407 Woodmont Avenue, offers a nice quiet picnic area and a chance to visit one of Temple Terrace’s
most historic buildings, the Woodmont Clubhouse.
Parks not your thing? How about Adventure Island, Busch Gardens or MOSI.
So, whether you decided to take a ride on a bottomless roller coaster, canoe down the Hillsborough River or enjoy a day at
the park, just take some time to enjoy Temple Terrace. After all, this is a “City for Living”.
